We are excited to invite all students to attend our annual Careers Fair on Tuesday 21 January 2025 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. This event is a fantastic opportunity for students to discover, explore and network with a wide range of professionals from different industries. Former students, employers and training providers will be on hand to offer insights into the world of work. Regardless of your daughter/son’s Year Group, it is a great way to explore career options and make valuable connections.

The PE Department have been working hard to enhance the enrichment opportunities at Tolworth Girls’ School & Sixth Form. We are delighted to announce that from Tuesday 14 January 2025 we will be offering a squash club, which will take place on Tuesdays from 3.10pm to 4.30pm. Full PE kit is required.

Dear Parent/Carer Year 9
I am writing to inform you of the upcoming Assessment Fortnight for Year 9 which runs from Monday 27 January to Friday 7 February 2025. Year 9 students have successfully completed the first term of their new GCSE courses and we are eager to monitor the progress your daughter is making. At Year 9 Parents’ Evening in November, staff were able to provide feedback on how well students had settled into Year 9 and their GCSEs.

As part of the Whole School Curriculum Day on Tuesday 19 November 2024, Astronomy author Colin Stuart will visit the school to talk about human spaceflight and his work with the astronaut Tim Peake. It is likely the first person to walk on Mars is currently at school!

We are delighted to welcome Year 9 back to school as they undertake the first year of their GCSE courses. I, alongside Mr Colliver, Assistant Head of Year and the rest of the Year 9 team are looking forward to working with you to support your daughter as she starts her GCSE journey. As Head of Year, my primary aim is to ensure that your daughter has a successful and enriching school experience. I will be working closely with teachers and staff to provide the support and guidance necessary for your daughter’s growth and development. You are receiving this letter because the Government has made it a legal requirement that all Local Authorities must write to parents and carers of all pupils in Year 9 to tell them about schools in or within travelling distance of the Local Authority area that admit pupils at the beginning of Year 10.
The Government wishes to ensure that parents and carers are well informed about all the options available for children of this age.
