  • Dear parent or carer,

RE: Schools that admit pupils at the beginning of Year 10

You are receiving this letter because the Government has made it a legal requirement that all Local Authorities must write to parents and carers of all pupils in Year 9 to tell them about schools in or within travelling distance of the Local Authority area that admit pupils at the beginning of Year 10.

The Government wishes to ensure that parents and carers are well informed about all the options available for children of this age.

Year 9 letters from 2023-2024

  • Throughout their time at Tolworth Girls’ School and Sixth Form your daughter has been involved in a variety of opportunities to explore career education and guidance. This is an important part of the curriculum and makes a major contribution to preparing young people for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. It also supports young people to make decisions and manage transitions as learners and workers.
