Here you have the opportunity to learn about the choreographies and solo performances by our Year 11 GCSE Dance students.
In addition, our Year 9 and 10 GCSE Dance groups performed work learnt in practical lessons.
Finally our Key Stage 3 extra curricular dance groups performed pieces they have been learning in their after school dance sessions.

Choreographic Intention: 14th April 1912. As the Titanic sunk into the icy Atlantic sea, desperate rhythms of morse code reached out into the night.

Choreographic Intention: the dance explores the powerful force greed can have on the human race. The initial stimulus was sweets and chocolates, sugary rush which led to the theme of greed.

Choreographic Intention: An abstract piece inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins, this work weaves together movements to embody the emotions and consequences of each sin, revealing their interconnected nature.

Letters In The Dark

Choreographic Intention: the dance was inspired by the book ‘The Blind Contessa’s New Machine’. The novel is about a woman, Caroline Fantoni, who is going blind however her family do not believe her. One of the first typewriters was invented so she could continue to communicate.
